Chienn Tai (she/they)

Chienn Tai (she/they) is a Taiwanese musician and multimedia artist based in Brooklyn, New York. With a background spanning classical music, acting, dance, composition, screen scoring, singing, and multilingual interpretation, her practice bridges performance, sound, and technology to explore the expressive potential of the human body and voice.

Chienn pursued a master’s degree in the Interactive Telecommunications Program at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, working closely with the NYU Screen Scoring program. She uses digital media and artistic expression to examine emotional and psychological landscapes, transforming introspective thoughts into multisensory experiences. Her works have been showcased in New York, Boston, Seattle, Linz (Austria) at Ars Electronica, and Taipei (Taiwan).

Beyond academia, Chienn is an activist artist, embedding themes of sustainability, human rights, social justice, bodily autonomy, and gender equality into her work. Through creative expression, she seeks to spark dialogue and inspire meaningful change.
